Driving in downtown Atlanta this weekend could take a little more time as road work continues.

The Georgia Department of Transportation plans to continue resurfacing the Downtown Connector between SR 10/Freedom Parkway and the Brookwood interchange this weekend.

The road work will take place Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. and Sunday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The northbound lanes and shoulder will be closed.

GDOT cautions drivers to reduce speeds and watch for workers.

The Downtown Connector was last resurfaced in 2008.
